Geography

Our experience and knowledge are largely in serving the offices of first world MNCs in Asia markets. Given the balance of economic power, production of supplies and demand in consumption in the global terrain today, we believe our value will be most keenly felt either by the customer who is exploring new geographies or re-inventing itself in existing markets.

Founders

Private owners who each has about 20 years of experience in the IT industry in Asia. Earlier in their careers, they have worked for leaders of the industry like SAP, HP, Digital, Data General, Burroughs and Wang.

History

Since 1995, Steenbok has been supporting multinational corporations (MNCs) who outsourced their IT functions. These MNCs typically do not have a sizeable IT team in-house in Asia and especially, Singapore.
It began as an outsourcer of Lotus Notes services. During the .com era, it built a secondary competence in providing connectivity to traditional backend via middleware from a web browser. Its business survived the .com bust, 2 economic downturns and several shifts in the enterprise application space.
Steenbok finds that its history is steep in service to the MNCs. However, it also has a few successes with the civil service.
Steenbok has fulfilled projects in various application development environment. The applications where it has competence in include Lotus Domino, SAP R/3, .NET technologies, Java, Javascript and Ruby.
Steenbok Pte Ltd is a registered company in Singapore.

Today

Over the years, it has cultivated a niche in interconnecting applications--from mobile and web frontends to the traditional ERP systems through middleware. Today, its best value to the customer is its experience and ability in cross-application connectivity.

To date, its business has remained as that of an integrator in the dominant technologies.
